GRILLED TUNA STEAK WITH VEGETABLES AND PINE NUTS

SERVES 2

 

1 CUP NAPA CABBAGE, SHREDDED

½ CUP PEA PODS, CHOPPED COARSELY

½ CUP CARROTS, SHREDDED

3 TABLESPOONS TOMATO SAUCE

¼ CUP PINE NUTS, TOASTED

2 (¼ POUND) TUNA STEAKS

1 TEASPOON SESAME OIL

1 TEASPOON LIME JUICE

SALT AND PEPPER TO TASTE

 

1. Poach the vegetables in the tomato sauce for 8 minutes or until crisp-tender. Add the pine nuts and set aside.

2. Set grill on medium-high. Spread the tuna with sesame oil, lime juice, salt, and pepper. Grill for 4 minutes per side for medium.

3. Serve with tomato-poached vegetables.
