Carbs & water retention
If you start a healthy diet and the scope is to lose weight, my advice is to not become obsessed with the scale.
I would recommend you to get on the scale once a week or once every two weeks, on a Thursday morning or as soon as you wake up.
It’s simple… We tend to get out of our diet routine over the weekend and consume a little bit more carbs/alcohool during that time.
Each gram of carbs retain 3 grams of water, so 200gr carbs + 600gr water = 800 gr in extra weight. Panic sets in 😀
So waiting until Thursday morning, we give ourselves the chance to get back on track regarding the weight.
